# GetGenesisHash

## getGenesisHash RPC Method

Returns the genesis hash.

The result will be:

* `<string>` - Genesis hash
  * Represented as a base-58 encoded string
  * Uniquely identifies the initial block of the blockchain
  * Remains constant for a specific blockchain network
